Maribel Macalintal is an artist specializing in the cutesy, the creative, and the cosmic. From a young age, she would replicate works of animation as sources of inspiration. This ranged from films made by Walt Disney Animation Studios and Studio Ghibli to series featured on Cartoon Network and Toonami.  She also often referenced the numerous art books she rented out of mobile libraries that visited her elementary school. Piqued by the detailed character designs and vibrant color palettes, Maribel would channel such features into her pieces and develop her style over time.

Her artwork primarily focuses on illustrative and anime-inspired portraits that are designed to capture the emotions of her viewers. She enjoys incorporating elements meaningful to the subjects of her work into each piece as a form of storytelling. While she has experimented with various art media, her personal favorite supplies include colored pencils, markers, and acrylic paint pens.
